Get involved
There are many ways you can get involved in our work, from becoming a member, joining our patient panel, volunteering, or coming to work for us.
Become a member or a governor
Help to shape the future of your ambulance service by becoming a member of our trust.
Membership is free, and how engaged you are as a member is entirely up to you. You might want simply to receive an occasional electronic newsletter, or receive more regular information about the work we do. Or you might want to play a more active role, participating in focus groups or surveys or standing as a governor on our Council of Governors.
Work for us
We rely on dedicated staff across a wide range of jobs, from crews in our frontline ambulances and patent transport service, teams in our 999, 111 and PTS contact centres, through to a variety of corporate and support services.
Check our current vacancies on our dedicated jobs site.
Volunteering
We rely on a committed group of volunteers. Community first responders (CFRs) support our 999 service and volunteer drivers to support out Patient Transport Service. Charity volunteers also help us raise the vital funds to keep the CFRs and other services running. Our charity oversees the work of volunteers and recruiting new people.
Find out more about volunteering opportunities in your area on our charity’s website.
Patient Panel
We have established a patient panel to increase involvement of patients, families and carers in improving and shaping the future of our services. There are different levels of commitment to different people.
Event attendance
We attend a number of public engagement events throughout the year.
We do this to educate the public on the role of the ambulance service and create relationships with local community groups.

Have we helped you? Then please donate to help us
With your help we can continue to provide additional support to our ambulance crews and volunteers, fund innovative new projects and work alongside our operational teams to really enhance patient care.
