SCAS joined police and fire services at Beaulieu, New Forest, at the Blue Light Day on Sunday 23 October. The event provided an opportunity for members of the public to speak informally to SCAS crews about the work they do, see fully kitted-out response vehicles, and engage in interactive displays. Dan Friend, SCAS Operational Commander and Paramedic Team Leader, said: “We have been able to secure examples of different vehicles without impacting our operational cover. I am very pleased that our staff have kindly given up their free time to attend the event and support SCAS.” Thank you to Chas Mc Gill, Public Governor Hampshire and Dan Friend for making this happen and to SCAS staff and SCAS Charity South Central Ambulance Charity for being there.
