Hampshire Police has issued an appeal following damage caused by rocks being thrown at a vehicle parked at the Portsmouth base of South Central Ambulance Service.
“We are appealing for witnesses after colleagues at South Central Ambulance Service (SCAS) reported that one of their ambulances had been damaged at their centre on Northabour Road in Cosham.
We were called at just before 1:15am on Tuesday 11 June, to reports that a group of males had accessed the railway line adjacent to the North Harbour Resource Centre and had thrown rocks from the line at the station, causing damage to an ambulance. They then entered the station site and attempted to gain access to the station building, but were challenged by a SCAS employee and ran away.
Officers attended and an investigation has been launched.
As part of our enquiries, we would like to speak to anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity in the area around this time.
If you have any information that could assist us with our investigation, please report this by calling 101, or by reporting online via the Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary website, quoting incident number 44240244373.”
