Patient Panel One Year Anniversary

Mar 6, 2025 | Members e-Bulletin, News, Stakeholder eBulletin

Our Patient Panel was established in February 2024 and has been a huge support to shaping our services. As part of their anniversary celebrations members of the panel visited some of our sites and met with staff.

The panel now has 22 members with two co-production working groups covering Learning Disabilities and Mental Health; and a third for Young People being established. Together they contributed over 300 hours in the first year.

Nikhyta Patel, Patient and Public Engagement Facilitator, co-ordinates the panel, she said: “It was great to celebrate the panel and share their work with more of our staff. The panel’s first year has been so positive, and we’re really looking forward to building on that in the year ahead.”

Members of the panel came to our northern and southern headquarters in Bicester and Otterbourne where they met frontline teams and members of our executive team. They also dropped in on our Education Centre in Newbury and we visited Mencap Southampton, whose day centre supports their members to participate in our panel.

We’re still growing our patient panel and looking for volunteers – find out more about the different patient panel engagement options.
