Mark Ainsworth
Mark started his career on Patient Transport Services with the Royal Berkshire Ambulance Service and progressed on to complete his Paramedic training in 1993. He spent 10 years working as a Paramedic on the Thames Valley Air Ambulance until 2009 where he focussed on his leadership career path.
Mark has worked within each of the ambulance service operational leadership roles during his career and this provides him with a thorough understanding of the demands experienced by his staff, leadership team, and our patients.
Mark is the Deputy Accountable Emergency Officer for SCAS and leads on our Emergency Preparedness and Business Continuity. He is one of six Strategic Commanders and is the Trust’s strategic lead for collaboration with emergency service partners as well as our collaboration with wider NHS partners.
