Media team
Our communications team handle all media enquiries, requests for filming or photography.
Our press office hours are Monday to Friday 09:00 to 17:00.

Please note, we cannot provide details on all incidents:
- Our crews attend around 1,500 emergency 999 incidents every day and we are unable to respond to every request for information.
- We do not provide details about smaller scale, less serious or routine incidents such as:
- general sightings of ambulances and local air ambulances,
- past incidents or
- anything which may breach a patient’s confidentiality.
- We will provide responses about major or very serious and ongoing incidents that the public need to be aware of.
If you have a media query about a significant incident email oncallmedia@scas.nhs.uk with the date, approximate time, location and nature of the incident.
- In a major incident we will issue something proactively.
Out of hours service
For serious/major on-going incidents only, outside of office hours (including bank holidays). Use our pager service on 07623 957895 to contact the duty press officer. Your brief pager message must include:
- Your name and contact details (phone and email)
- The media organisation you work for
- Brief details of the incident you need information about – location, approx. time of incident, nature of incident.
Please note: if you use the out-of-hours pager service for incidents that are not a serious or major ongoing incident, you will not get a response.
