Knife Amnesty Bins exist all over the SCAS area. They’ve been set up by police as a safe place for people to dispose of knives.
In one week alone last year, Hampshire Police reported over 550 knives were surrendered.
Carrying a knife is a criminal offence, even if you don’t use it. So get rid of it safely.
The statistics are clear that carrying a knife is more likely to make you a victim of a knife wound yourself, rather than provide any level of protection.
There are also common myths that ‘everyone’ carries a knife – which just isn’t true. The reality is that 99% of people don’t! There is just so much content on social media and the news which implies you need one – you don’t.
