March remained a busy month with over 50,000 incidents across all 999 categories.
- 111 calls dipped from February to March, but remain significantly higher than this time last year.
- 999 calls rose, with the end of March nearly 6% up on the end of February.
- Ambulance response times were better than the England average for categories 2 and 3, but slightly worse for categories1 and 4.
- Patient Transport journeys continue to rise steadily, with 82,500 journeys in March being our busiest month since 2020.
The first weeks of April have seen less pressure and on 19 April we reduced our escalation level to “moderate pressure”
