SCAS attends mosque in Banbury

SCAS attended the mosque in Banbury to meet and talk with members of the local community.

Nikhyta Patel, Public Engagement Facilitator said ” SCAS staff really enjoyed meeting with members of the mosque, talking to them about their health and the importance of CPR.”

Alexander Harrison (Community Responder (CFR)), Victoria Butler (CFR) carried out CPR demonstrations and defibrillator awareness training.

Alexander Rose (Emergency Care Assistant (ECA)) and David Wilson (Senior Patient Experience Officer) carried out ambulance familiarisation, showing people around the ambulance.

Nikhyta Patel (Patient and Public Engagement Facilitator) was able to speak to members of the community about the Patient Panel.

The event was also attended by Sumit Biswas (Non-Executive Director), who was able to speak to the community about their health.

The event had a lot of interest with the congregation also being offered blood pressure checks by the Oxford University Hospital, Here for Health Team.
