Nikhyta Patel, Patient and Public Engagement Facilitator, attended Woolston and Townhill GP practices’ Wellbeing Day, Southampton. SCAS gave CPR demonstrations and talked to the public about when to call 999 or 111.
Nikhyta said:
“It was a really good day. We talked to patients at the GP practices about their experience of using SCAS and what do to in an emergency.”
Involving public and patients in their care is important for many reasons, including improving patient outcomes, their health and wellbeing and their overall experience, as well as better use of resources which can help ensure that healthcare resources are used wisely and efficiently.
