PTS booking information
The PTS service is only available to eligible patients.
You are considered eligible if:
- Your medical condition is such that you require the skills and support of PTS staff during or after your journey, and/or it would be detrimental to your condition or recovery to travel by other means. Or:
- Your medical condition affects your mobility to such an extent that you would be unable to access healthcare and/or it would be detrimental to your condition or recovery to travel by other means.
- You may also travel if you are the recognised parent or guardian of a child being transported by PTS.
You are not eligible if:
- You are attending a primary care service, such as a routine GP or health centre appointment
- You are not an NHS patient
- You require transport outside England, Scotland and Wales The person booking your PTS

If you have transport booked with a SCAS PTS service you can manage your booking at our Patient Zone by clicking on the link below.
You can book transport (except your first journey), manage bookings, check journey status and cancel a booking if your transport is no longer required.
Which PTS service covers your area depends on which NHS Integrated Care Board your GP is part of.
Hampshire PTS
(not including North East Hants and Farnham area which falls under the Surrey NEPTS service, now delivered by another provider)
Hampshire patients accessing transport for the first time need to call 0300 123 9833 to create a master record and book your initial appointment. You can then use the PTS Patient Zone to book subsequent journeys, manage your bookings and check your journey status.

Milton Keynes PTS
Milton Keynes patients can access transport by calling the SCAS Contact Centre on 0300 100 0015, or via PTS Patient Zone.

Sussex PTS
Sussex patients’ first PTS journey must be booked by a healthcare professional or by calling the Central Booking Line. You can then use PTS Patient Zone to book subsequent journeys, manage your bookings and check your journey status. Bookings need to be made with a minimum of two working days’ notice.
- Central Booking line 0300 123 9841 between 07:00 – 20:00 Monday to Saturday (08:00 – 17:00 Sundays and Bank Holidays)
- Cancellation line 0300 790 0143 available 24/7 365 days a year
In May 2024, the eligibility criteria for Sussex Patient Transport Services changed. Some patients who were previously eligible may no longer meet the criteria.
Thames Valley PTS
Thames Valley patients accessing transport for the first time need to call 0300 100 0015 to create a master record and book your initial appointment. You can then use PTS Patient Zone to book subsequent journeys, manage your bookings and check your journey status.
